It's hard to care about long-term progression when it resets every time you pick up the game right? This update is about making long-term, mean long-term (to an extent!). Players now have 3 save slots and the game is automatically saved every time you return to base. Along similar lines, you can now store weapons in your stash for future runs. Outside of this changes focused on bug fixes and visual & audio feedback. It's really exciting starting to see the gameplay loop take shape! Check back later this week for another big piece of the gameplay loop.
UI/UX
- Persistence! Save game slots (3). Game is saved everytime you enter the base.
- Add description & weapon section to Stash
- Add flashlight to RB on controller
- Warning when trying to start a level without weapon/ammo/syringes
- Added keys to level summary
- UI Warnings for low ammo/low hp
- Add visual indicator for Rate Of Fire/reload
Mechanics
- Weapon stashing - ability to store up to 10 weapons in your stash
- Laser pointer - red laser pointer that assists with aim in-level
- Cut extract time in half
Audio
- Lots of new sounds:
- Gun shots/reloads (unique per archetype)
- Explosions
- Door operation
- Switching weapons
- Interacting with stash
- Upgrade buttons
- Looting noises
Bug Fixes
- Fix buttons getting cut off on hover/focus/press
- Fix inventory not wiping correctly on death
- Fix controller support on Game Over screen
- Fix tooltips on Special Items
- Fix controller support for viewing Special items (Select/Back)
- Fix looting & opening door at the same time
